We purchased a home in the past and even after a thorough home inspection, we ran into a major pipe issue 2 months after moving in. The cost were in the thousands and we learned a valuable lesson. One of the first things we did when we purchased a home that was built in the 1950's was to purchase a You're Covered protection plan. Whenever a plumbing issue surfaces in our home, we simply call You're Covered and they send out a licensed and authorized plumber. It is also very nice to no longer worry about the pipes outside of our house as we are protected as well. Most importantly, You're Covered is a company that has great people working within the company, great service and prompt follow.
